And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 Do not be sorry for them, nor be distressed for what they devise. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say: It may be that a part of that which ye would hasten on is close behind you. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. 74 And not a thing is there hidden in heaven and earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the time for the fulfilment of Our Word against them will come, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth who will speak to them because people did not believe in Our Signs. 82
