We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
