The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 and guard their private parts 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
