(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And make my mission easy. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
