And it is He who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. 78 And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back. 79 It is He Who gives life and causes death, and He holds mastery over the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand this? 80 Aye! they say the like of that which said the ancients. 81 They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 82 We and our fathers were promised this before; it is nothing but ancient lore!" 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 They will say: "To God." Say: "Then why do you not bethink yourselves?" 85 Say thou: who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the mighty throne? 86 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “So why do you not fear?” 87 Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?" 88 They will say: "God's." Say: "Then why are you so deluded?" 89 Nay! We have brought to them the truth, and most surely they are liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
