Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 It is they who are on true guidance from their Lord, and it is they who shall prosper. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Lo! those who believe and do good works, for them are the gardens of delight, 8 They will abide in them for ever. The promise of God is true; and He is all-mighty and all-wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
