And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
