Nay, by the Moon 32 By the receding night 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 Warn the men. 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
