The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Woe to those who are fraudulent in (weighing and measuring), 1 Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully, 2 Whilst when they measure or weigh for them, give less. 3 Do not these think that they shall be raised again 4 on a fateful Day. 5 The day all mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds? 6 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. 7 Would that you knew what Sijin is!? 8 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed. 9 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 10 Who deny the Day of Recompense. 11 for, none gives the lie to it but such as are wont to transgress against all that is [and are] immersed in sin: 12 When you recite Our verses to him, he says, “Stories of earlier men!” 13 No indeed! Their own deeds have cast a veil over their hearts. 14 Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled. 15 then they shall roast in Hell. 16 It will then be said, “This is what you used to deny.” 17 By no means! Verily the record of the virtuous shall be in 'Illiyun. 18 And what do you know what the Record of the exalted ones is? 19 A record [indelibly] inscribed, 20 Witnessed by those who are honoured. 21 Most surely the righteous shall be in bliss, 22 On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things): 23 On their faces you will see the glow of beatitude. 24 They will be given to drink pure sealed wine. 25 Its seal is upon musk; and for this should those who crave be eager. 26 a wine tempered with the waters of Tasnim, 27 A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah. 28 Behold, the wicked were wont to laugh at the believers: 29 when them passed them by winking at one another, 30 And whilst returning to their homes, they used to return rejoicing. 31 and when they saw them, they said [scornfully], "These men have surely gone astray," 32 But they were not Sent to be guardians over them! 33 So, the believers will laugh at the infidels on that day, 34 On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things). 35 Have the unbelievers been rewarded for what they did? 36
