Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
