۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 Are we not then to die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
