Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
