The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WAS THERE NOT a time in the life of man when he was not even a mentionable thing? 1 Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing. 2 Indeed, We have guided him to the path, he is either grateful or ungrateful. 3 We have prepared chains, shackles, and flaming fire (for the disbelievers). 4 Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kafur, 5 From a fountain whence the bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to gush abundantly. 6 [The truly virtuous are] they [who] fulfil their vows, and stand in awe of a Day the woe of which is bound to spread far and wide, 7 And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive,- 8 They say to them, “We give you food, only for the sake of Allah – we do not seek any reward or thanks from you.” 9 Verily we dread from our Lord a Day grim and distressful. 10 Wherefore Allah shall preserve them from the evil of that Day, and shall cause them to meet brightness and joy. 11 And hath awarded them for all that they endured, a Garden and silk attire; 12 Reclining in it, upon thrones; they will not see the hot sunshine in it, nor the bitter cold. 13 And close down upon them (shall be) its shadows, and its fruits shall be made near (to them), being easy to reach. 14 Goblets of silver are brought round for them, and beakers (as) of glass 15 Glass made from silver, which the servers have filled up to the measure. 16 And in that [paradise] they will be given to drink of a cup flavoured with ginger, 17 from a spring named salsabil. 18 ۞ And there shall go round unto them youths ever-young. When thou seest them thou wouldst deem them pearls unstrung. 19 wherever you look, you will see bliss and a great kingdom: 20 Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and of brocades. And adorned they shall be with bracelets of silver: and their Lord shall give them drink a beverage pure. 21 This will be their reward and their efforts will be appreciated. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
