We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
