The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determined and guided, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
