The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
