Exalted is He who put constellations in the heavens, a radiant lamp and an illuminating moon -- 61 And it is He Who hath appointed the night and the day a succession, for him who desireth to consider or desireth to be grateful. 62 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, 63 And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer] 64 And these who say: our Lord! avert from us the torment of Hell; verily the torment thereof is perishment. 65 evil it is as a lodging-place and an abode'; 66 Who are neither prodigal nor miserly in their spending but follow a middle path; 67 who do not worship idols besides God, nor without a just cause murder a soul to whom God has granted amnesty, who do not commit fornication, for those who do so have committed a sin 68 Multiplied for him shall be the torment on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall therein abide disgraced. 69 Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 70 He who repents and does good deeds has truly turned to God. 71 (And the servants of the Merciful are those:) who do not bear witness to falsehood and who; if they have ever to pass by what is vain, pass by like dignified people: 72 Those who, when they are admonished with the Signs of their Lord, droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind; 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 Those shall be rewarded with the highest apartment, because they persevered; and therein they shall be met with a greeting and salutation. 75 Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! 76 Say: 'My Lord cares little for you if it was not for your supplication, indeed you have belied (the Messenger and the Koran) so it (the punishment) will be fastened' 77
