The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
