These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient 39 And a multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the later times (generations). 40 And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 (That shadow) neither cool, nor (even) good, 44 Verily they have been heretofore affluent. 45 and had persisted in the Great Sin. 46 And they used to say, “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we surely be raised again?” 47 We and our fathers of old? 48 Say: 'Those of ancient times and those of later times 49 Will be gathered together on a certain day which is predetermined. 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 Then will fill your bellies with it. 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 Drinking the way thirsty camels drink. 55 This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. 56 We have created you, so why do you not believe? 57 Just consider (the semen) that you emit, 58 Did you create it or was it We who created it? 59 It was We who decreed death among you. We will not be surpassed 60 That We may substitute others like unto you and produce you into that which ye know not. 61 You have surely known of the first creation. Why then, will you not remember! 62 Have you thought about what crops you plant? 63 Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth? 64 If We willed, surely We would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering. 65 (Saying:) 'We are laden with debts! 66 Nay! we are deprived. 67 Did you cast a good look at the water that you drink? 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? 69 Had We wanted, We could have made it salty. Why then do you not give thanks? 70 And have you seen the fire that you ignite? 71 Is it you that originated its tree, or are We the Originator? 72 We! it is We Who made it a reminder and a provision unto the campers. 73 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74
