The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
