The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 he was created of gushing water 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
