Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 and then We will draw aside from each party those who were most rebellious against the Most Compassionate Lord, 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 And every one of you will come within sight of it: this is, with thy Sustainer, a decree that must be fulfilled. 71 But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. 72 When Our clear verses are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Which of the two parties has a better position or company?' 73 How numerous are the peoples We destroyed before them - those that were more resourceful and grander in outward appearance! 74 Say, "The Gracious One grants respite for a time to those who are in error until, when they are confronted with what they are promised, either in punishment [in the world] or in [the approach of] the Hour, they will realize who is worse in respect of position and who is weaker in resources." 75 And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse. 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious? 78 By no means! We shall write down all what he says; and We shall greatly prolong his chastisement, 79 All that he claims will revert to Us, and he will come before Us all alone. 80 And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! 81 In fact, they can have no honor; their gods will renounce their worship of idols and will turn against them. 82
