Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 and ease my task for me, 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
