[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Have they not pondered the saying, or came there upon them that which came not upon their fathers, the ancients? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
