The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
