The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
