Hast thou not seen how We sent the Satans against the unbelievers, to prick them? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 On the day when We shall assemble the righteous towards the Most Gracious, as guests. 85 And We shall drive the sinners to Hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,- 86 They shall not own intercession, excepting those who have taken of the Compassionate a covenant. 87 And they say: the Compassionate hath taken a son. 88 This is certainly a monstrous lie! 89 The heavens are wellnigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains wellnigh fall down crashing for 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. 92 All that is in the heavens and the earth will return to the Beneficent God as His submissive servants. 93 He has counted them and exactly numbered all; 94 And each one of them will come before Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
