a large throng from the ancients, 39 and a good many of later times. 40 As for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be! 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 And a shade of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor refreshing. 44 Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty. 45 And were stubborn upon the great sin (of disbelief). 46 And they were wont to say: when we have died and become dust and bones, shall we, then, verily be raised? 47 We and our fathers of old? 48 Say: The first and the last, 49 "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 50 Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers, 51 Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqoom, 52 And filling with it your bellies 53 and drink boiling water on top of that, 54 drinking it as thirsty camels do.” 55 Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital! 56 It is We Who created you, so why do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 Do you create a child out of it, or are We its creators? 59 We have destined death for you and no one can challenge Us 60 from replacing you by others like yourselves or changing your forms and re-creating you in forms that you know nothing of. 61 And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then mind? 62 Have you considered what you sow? 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 Had We wanted, We could have crushed it to bits and you would have been left to lament, 65 Verily we are undone. 66 Rather, we have been deprived." 67 Have you considered the water which you drink? 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? 69 If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)? 70 Have you ever considered the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 We have made it a reminder, and a blessing to the traveler. 73 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest. 74
