Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And the close of night, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
