Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble recorders, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
