The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 They sat by it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
