The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
