The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 [If so,] then I shall guide thee towards [a cognition of] thy Sustainer, so that [henceforth] thou wilt stand in awe [of Him].'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
