Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Behold, We revealed this (Qur'an) on the Night of Power. 1 And what will explain to thee what the night of power is? 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 In it descend the angels and Jibreel, by the command of their Lord – for all works. 4 Peace it is, till the break of dawn. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
