Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
