Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They slept very little during the night 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
