Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)

۞ The Inevitable! (Day of Judgment). 1 What is the Sure Reality? 2 And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 Now as for the Thamud - they were destroyed by a violent upheaval [of the earth]; 5 And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind 6 To which He subjected them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that thou mightest have seen men during it lying prostrate, as though they were stumps of palms ruined. 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 And Fir'awn and those before him and the overturned cities committed sin. 9 and they rebelled against the Messenger of their Lord, and He seized them with a surpassing grip. 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 In order to make it a remembrance for you, and in order that the ears that store may remember. 12 And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow - 14 And so, that which must come to pass will on that day have come to pass; 15 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. 16 and the angels will stand on the sides, with eight of them bearing aloft the Throne of your Lord on that Day. 17 The Day whereon ye shall be mustered nothing hidden by you shall be hidden. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book! 19 Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account." 20 His shall be a pleasing life 21 in a lofty Garden 22 with its fruits within easy reach. 23 "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!" 24 But, he who is given his book in his left hand will say: 'Woe to me, would that my book had not been given to me! 25 "And that I had never known, how my Account is? 26 Would that it (my death) had ended it all! 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 Vanished has my power from me." 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 Then in the Scorch roast him 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 for he did not believe in Almighty God, 33 and did not feel any urge to feed the needy: 34 "So no friend hath he here this Day. 35 and the only food he has is filth 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
