Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are united, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 The closing night, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
