Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
