In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
A. L. M. 1 This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah; 2 Those who believe without seeing (the hidden), and keep the (obligatory) prayer established, and spend in Our cause from what We have bestowed upon them. 3 Who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to those before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 They have found the guidance of their Lord and will be successful. 5 Those who disbelieve, whether you forewarn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing and there is a covering over their eyes, and there is a great punishment for them. 7
