Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
