Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Illustrious scribes 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
