▼ 51 Drivers of the Winds
Al-Dhaareyaat 3 of 3
We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)! 48 And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 [But] thus it is: never yet came any apostle to those who lived before their time but they said, "A spellbinder, ["sorcerer" is he,] or a madman!" 52 What, have they bequeathed it one to another? Nay, but they are an insolent people. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 but keep on exhorting them, for exhortation benefits the believers. 55 I have not created the jinns and men but to worship Me. 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 So surely those who are unjust shall have a portion like the portion of their companions, therefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 60
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
