NAY, but consider the moon! 32 and the night when it retreats 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 As a warning unto men, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
