Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
