The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
