The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
