Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known calculated term. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
