The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 when they were seated over it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
