The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
